Community Volunteer Grants Sponsoring Volunteerism
Duke Energy employees and retirees help improve the quality of life in the communities where they live and work through volunteerism. Our volunteers share their time, talents and expertise with charitable organizations throughout the year, and our annual Global Service Event each Spring serves as a rallying point for employees to focus on the importance of volunteering.
Giving back to our communities through volunteerism is a tradition at Duke Energy and one our employees embrace. We not only encourage our employees to make a difference in the community, we stand behind their efforts providing financial support through our Foundation’s Volunteer Grant program.
Employees leading a volunteer project can apply for a Volunteer Grant from The Duke Energy Foundation for needed supplies and materials to complete a specific "sweat equity" hands-on project for an eligible nonprofit organization. Another avenue of support to our volunteers through the Foundation is the Nonprofit Board Leadership Grant available to employees currently serving on an eligible nonprofit organization’s board of directors.
At Duke Energy, we are committed to improving the quality of life in our communities.
