Terrace Park Project

The Village of Terrace Park Main Replacement Project

Meeting the community’s growing energy needs.

Duke Energy is committed to making infrastructure improvements to help ensure our customers have reliable and safe energy.

Project Overview

As part of our modernization efforts and to help ensure the continued reliability of our system, we are making upgrades in the Village of Terrace Park, Ohio.

This infrastructure involves replacing approximately 7.5 miles of existing pipeline – dating back to the 1960’s – to meet the increased energy demand due to the growth in the area.

Key Benefits

  • Upgrade the infrastructure by replacing existing steel natural gas infrastructure with modern, plastic system.

  • Helps maintain safe and reliable natural gas services to our customers.

Construction

Our goal is to minimize the impact of construction activities on property owners, the community and the environment. We take all factors into consideration, including environmentally sensitive areas, impacts on rare plant and animal species and landowner concerns and requests.

  • Construction hours will typically range between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends to meet customer and city schedules. Construction hours may also vary depending on the area, city events, weather, etc.
  • Construction will be completed in existing easement areas. For concerns relating to property impacts during construction, please call the project hotline at 513.287.2130.
  • Roads and sidewalks will be impacted. Detours and traffic signaling will be posted.
  • The planned route for this construction project is depicted in the image below. The final route may differ.
