How to Opt Off or Opt On Customer Lists

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio requires the local utility to provide certified electric and gas suppliers with a current list of its customers. The Pre-enrollment list contains various categories of information which includes: name, service address, mailing address, email address, rate, usage information, Load Profile and Revenue Class, Meter type, meter number, meter certification information, future meter read dates, Meter Read Cycle, Billing Cycle, Budget Billing and PIPP indicators, Bulk indicator, Account identifier (not the account number), Peak Load Contribution information, Network Service Peak Load information, Smart Grid indicator, Net Metering Indicator, and Supplier Indicator. Electric and gas suppliers can then use this information to market their services to current utility customers.

To opt off customer lists sent to electric and gas suppliers or to opt on the lists again (after previously opting off/on), please contact us.
