Resource Plan

Our Integrated Resource Plan or “IRP” is Duke Energy’s proposed roadmap to meet future energy and demand requirements without compromising reliability of service, energy affordability or the power demands of a growing region. We regularly engage in long-range planning to identify the best options to meet customers’ energy needs with existing and future resources. The IRP is filed with the Kentucky Public Service Commission and it includes a 15-year forecast required by the Commission outlining how we intend to serve our existing and future customers in a reliable and economic manner.
