Fleet Vehicle and Mobile Equipment Auctions

Duke Energy participates in numerous public auctions annually to dispose of surplus vehicles (cars, pickups, SUVs, vans, service body utility trucks, aerial equipment, etc.) and mobile equipment (forklifts, backhoes, dozers, etc.). J.J. Kane sells all of our vehicles and mobile equipment with the exception of our large dozers, locomotives and equipment that cannot be moved to an auction site. They have nine scheduled auctions that Duke Energy participates in annually and three optional dates. There are three scheduled in Florida, three in the Carolinas, and three in the Midwest. Iron Planet is an online auction company. Duke Energy uses them to sell our large dozers, locomotives, and other mobile equipment that cannot be moved to an auction site.
