Duke Energy is working with a data analytics firm called Power TakeOff to offer our business customers a no-obligation assessment of their energy use. There’s no need for on-site visits, and it’s all completely free of charge! Look out for an email from Power TakeOff with your free assessment and suggestions of how you can cut energy costs.

How the Energy Data Review works:

  • A remote analysis of data from your company’s smart meter(s) provides insight to understand energy usage at your facility to identify unexpected and wasted usage. 
  • Recommendations are provided for your facility that are easy to implement and are low- or no-cost to your business.  
  • No on-site visits or in-person audits are required. Communication with a Business Energy Specialist is provided virtually and remotely, by email or phone.  
  • Your dedicated Business Energy Specialist will measure and verify the energy savings impacts and provide you with a report on the impact of the implemented energy-saving measures.
Participating is fast and easy with no eligible equipment criteria, fees or enrollment paperwork. 

Common Recommendations  

The service will help identify energy-saving opportunities such as:  
  • Optimizing equipment schedules 
  • Managing equipment startup and shutdown schedules 
  • Identifying equipment setbacks to address unnecessary usage
