Economic Development Rider ED – provides a discount on demand charges for qualifying new loads with initial permanent service to new establishments or expansion of existing establishments on LGS, I or OPT-V tariff schedules. Discount percentage and term of years are based on the project’s number of new full-time jobs created, capital investment, load, load factor, cost to serve and economic multiplier. The discount can begin as late as 36 months from the date service is provided under the contract, at the customer’s discretion. Projects qualify by adding a minimum of 1,000kW at minimum of 40% load factor, either creating 50 new full-time jobs or making a capital investment of $500,000 per MW and creating 2 new full-time jobs per MW, and applying for and receiving economic assistance from the State or a local government.

• Rider EC – Customers save 5-20% in billing credits over 4 years. Credits begin up to 18 months after the initial delivery or expansion of electric service. The following billing credits are applied: Months 1-12: 20%, months 13-24: 15%, months 25-36: 10%, months 37-48: 5%. 1,000-kilowatt (kW) minimum load and other qualification factors apply.
• Rider ER – Provides new customers who occupy an existing building a 50-percent discount on power for one year. 500-kW minimum load and other qualification factors apply.

• ED – Get discounts over five years on demand charges for new electrical loads exceeding 1,000 kilowatts (kW). Must add 1,000 kW of new load, create 100 new jobs and make a capital investment of $400,000 per MW.
• ERD – Get a discount on your energy bill for the first 12 months of occupying a previously unoccupied or dormant commercial location. Used during the first year of occupancy: 50% discount for contract demands of 1,000 kW or greater; 25% discount for contract demands of 999 kW or less. Business must either create 100 new jobs or make a capital investment of $400,000 per MW.
