Economic Development Incentives
Ohio
In Ohio, the Economic Development Incentive Rider (Rider DIR) will allow up to 30% reduction (dependent on qualifying factors) for up to five-years on the Duke Energy electric bill (excluding facility charges, applicable taxes and generation charges) for any new or additional load associated with an economic development project. Must add minimum of 25 full-time employees, $1,000,000 in capital investment and meet a minimum of 1,000 kW at one delivery point.
Kentucky
In Kentucky, the Economic Development Incentive Rider (Rider DIR) will allow up to 50% reduction for 12 months on the Duke Energy electric bill (excluding riders) for any new or additional load associated with an economic development project. Must add minimum of 25 full-time employees per 1,000 kW, $1,000,000 in capital investment per 1,000 kW and meet a minimum of 1,000 kW at one delivery point.
