Disston Transmission Line Upgrade
Current Project Activities
Project Overview
Pinellas County is experiencing rapid growth and an increasing need for energy. Duke Energy is investing to improve the energy grid in the county. The project will upgrade an existing 3.5-mile underground transmission line from our Disston Substation on 62nd Ave. N. to our 40th Street Substation on 13th Ave. S. The project is one of several projects in the county designed to help ensure continued reliability and meet the growing demand for electricity used by homes, businesses and the community.
