Aggregator/Broker Requirements
This webpage provides an Aggregator/Broker, certified by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), an overview of the process for registering with Duke Energy Ohio. The purpose of registering is to initiate the business relationship with Duke Energy Ohio so that the Aggregator/Broker may request end-use customer historical usage through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and/or request a user ID and password to access summary historical usage data on the Duke Energy Ohio Retail Electric Supplier webpage. 12-month historical summary (HU) requests and 12-month historical detail interval (HI) requests are the only EDI transactions supported by Duke Energy Ohio with Aggregators/Brokers.
PUCO requirements
As stated in the Ohio customer choice legislation, a Certified Supplier is a person, corporation, broker, marketer, aggregator, generator or any other entity approved by the PUCO. Detailed information regarding PUCO certification can be obtained by visiting the PUCO Web site.
Once the Aggregator/Broker has met the PUCO requirements, the PUCO will issue the entity a numbered certificate that specifies the services the Aggregator/Broker is authorized to provide.
